Give Your iMac New Life

An iMac near Victoria BC is presenting to the shop, symptoms of running extremely slow with the colour spinning wheel constantly appearing!

These iMacs have been notoriously slow after a period of use because the mechanical drive inside gets slower and slower as it is fragmented. The spinning wheel of death is a term that has been around for a long time and seems to be just as popular in today's market as it was back in the days when iMacs first came out.

Due to this problem iMac owners can often feel trapped as they simply do not have the funds to replace their iMac with a comparable product and can't replace the drive inside themselves.

As iMacs age, the spinning wheel of death can become more frequent and eventually iMacs will simply freeze without any warning at all.

The client is very happy with the iMac and would love not to have to purchase a brand new one.

These units are tricky to take apart as the LCD panel is laminated and glued, yes glued, to the framework of the iMac. In this case not only was the mechanical hard drive old and running poorly but completely full.

Fortunately, we determined that the client data was intact and was then copied to the new solid-state drive and installed back into the unit.

After completing all testing on the hardware and ensuring all data was copied, the iMac ran much faster giving the client an enjoyable computing experience.
