Recently, we had the opportunity to build a top-tier gaming PC for a client who had a specific preference for RGB lighting in their chassis. While RGB lighting is purely an aesthetic choice and doesn't enhance performance, we were up to the challenge of creating a powerful gaming rig with the perfect blend of aesthetics and performance.
The first step in building this gaming PC was mounting the CPU onto the motherboard and installing the RAM, as well as the NVME solid-state drives for lightning-fast storage. Once these essential components were in place, we proceeded to mount the motherboard into the chassis and connect the power supply to ensure proper functionality.
Next, we mounted the AIO (All-In-One) water-cooling device, which was particularly popular among gamers for its superior cooling capabilities. This particular AIO had six fans, which brought a smile to our faces as we knew it would keep the system running cool even during intense gaming sessions.
Since the processor for this build had built-in onboard video, we left out the video card initially and ensured that the system successfully started up (POST) without any issues. Once we confirmed that the system was running smoothly, we proceeded to add the video card and four additional chassis fans to further enhance the cooling performance.
Cable management was the next crucial step to ensure a clean and organized build. We carefully routed and secured all the cables to eliminate any potential tangles and messiness in the back of the chassis. With the cables neatly managed, we proceeded to install Windows, followed by updating the motherboard BIOS, installing assorted drivers, and finally applying Windows updates to ensure the system was running the latest software for optimal performance.
After thoroughly testing the system and confirming that it could successfully boot to the desktop, we knew it was ready to be taken home by its new owner. This custom gaming PC was now equipped with top-tier performance components, including RGB lighting in the chassis for a visually stunning experience.
